Initial ElectronicsTesting

I bought the motherboard from TaoBao - the Chinese equivalent of eBay.

I needed to quickly test the board that it functions - as within 7 days after they sent out the board, the cash would become their unless I found problems.

So - I put the basic system together on the desktop, and started up.

It did the basic POST OK.

I did a test install of Vista - which required me to copy the Vista disk to a USB harddisk, and boot from that. If I remember I will post the steps for doing that... took a while to work it out.

Anyway - it worked fine. Vista installed and functional - I can now pay of the motherboard, and get on with the building.
